Gust Delzer, 83, Harvey, formerly of Anamoose, died Friday, Sept. 4, 1987, in a Minot Hospital. His funeral was Tuesday at St. Martin’s Lutheran Church, Anamoose. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery, Harvey, with a graveside service Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. He was born Jan. 13, 1899, on a farm near Harvey, the son of Christian and Elizabeth Delzer. He grew up there and in 1917 moved to a farm near Clifton. He then began employment with the Great Northern Railroad on a section crew. He married Emma Grochow Jan. 19, 1927, at Harvey. They lived and farmed northeast of Anamoose. From 1954 to 1960 he again worked for the Great Northern, retiring in 1964. In April 1965 he moved to St. Aloisius Nursing Home, Harvey. He was a member of St. Martin’s Lutheran Church, Anamoose. Survivors include his, wife; daughters, Eleanor Dusek, Whitefish, Mont., Luella Grossmann, Glenburn, Bernice Miller, Manfred, Geraldine Murschel, Hazen, Betty Eggers, Mandan; sons, Eugene, Minot, Jerome, Whitefish, Gerald, West Chicago, IL, Marvin, Mandan; 27 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth Bittis, Bismark.
