Notes for Sgt. 1st Class Marvin K Delzer
Marvin Delzer, 57, Mandan, died April 22, 2006, in his home. Services were at 11 a.m., Friday, April, 28, 2006, at St. Martin’s Lutheran Church, Anamoose. Grave-side service was at 1:30 p.m. at Sunnyside Cemetery, Harvey.
Marvin K. Delzer was born Jan. 31, 1949, in Harvey, to Gust and Emma (Grochow) Delzer. He joined the North Dakota National Guard in November 1970.
He retired from the North Dakota National Guard in May 1999 as Sergeant First Class with the Headquarters Detachment and held the position of Supervisory Pay and Voucher Examiner. Marvin loved the outdoors and all kinds of sports, hunting and fishing. He also liked gardening.
He is survived by sisters, Eleanor Dusek, Whitefish, Mont., Luella (Ray) Grossman, Glenburn, Bernice Miller, Harvey, Geraldine (Don) Murschel, Hazen, Betty (Ervin) Eggers, Bismarck; brothers Eugene (Barb) Delzer, Minot, Jerome, Whitefish, Mont., Gerald, Minot; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Irene and Lucille Delzer during infancy, and a stillborn sister; two brothers-in-law, Clofford Miller and Robert Dusek.
