TONASKET--Mrs. Roy (Theo H.) Thornton, 76, died Friday (10 Nov 1972) at her home near Tonasket following a short illness.
She was born on July 8, 1896, at Body Camp, Va. She came West with her family when she was seven years old. They moved to Tonasket in 1925 and had lived on their ranch four miles north of Tonasket for the past 47 years. On this ranch they were pioneer orchardists, developing their own orchard, building a warehouse and shipping and selling their own fruit.
Surviving are three sons, Neal of Wenatchee, Dell of Republic and Floyd of Tonasket; four daughters, Carol, Edith and Ardis of Tonasket, and Lu Weaver of Okanogan; a sister, Mrs. Preston Pyeatt of Tonasket; two brothers, Floyd Patterson, Cashmere, and Thomas Patterson, California; 13 grandchildren and four great grandsons.
