Ludwig Delzer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Delzer, was born April 16, 1873 in Johannestal, Russia. As child he was baptized and later instructed in the fundamentals of the Christian faith and confirmed. Having come to America as a very young child he lived first in North Dakota, where he married Christine Jankee in 1898 and the following year they came to Odessa. Mrs. Delzer passed away in 1935 and the following year the deceased married Julianna Reddinger, who died in 1958. He was a long-time member of Pilgrim and later of United Church. His departure was June 1, 1961 at the age of 88 years, 1 month and 15 days. He is survived by 6 children: Richard and Edwin of Odessa, Mrs. Clarence Luce and Calvin Delzer of Spokane, Herbert Delzer of Spangle, Wash., and Mrs. George Schossler of Grandview, Wash.; 4 Reddinger step-children, 17 greatgrandchildren, and a host of friends. May the Lord comfort the bereaved.
