Edwin C Delzer, an Odessa native and former long-time resident, died Sunday, Aug 7, 1994, in Airway Heights. Mr Delzer was 90 years old. He had lived in the Spokane area since moving from Odessa after he retired. He was born Dec 8, 1903, the son of Odessa pioneers, Ludwig and Christina Delzer. He was a partner in the Delzer & Goede Garage in Odessa in the 1930s and 1940s, and later he was employed at Wolf Motor Sales in Odessa for many years. Ed had a fondness for dancing. He rarely missed attendance at Odessa’s Deutschesfest, and he enjoyed dancing, wearing red suspenders, at the Golden Inn Restaurant in Airway Heights. He is survived by his son, Eddie D Delzer, of Airway Heights; three stepsons, Sherman Kosanke, Richard Kosanke and Eugene Kosanke, all of Ritzville, and two sisters, Adeline Luce, of Spokane, and Ruth Schoessler of Moses Lake. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Delzer, his parents and three brothers, Richard Delzer, Calvin Delzer and Herbert Delzer. As Mr Delzer had requested, no funeral service was held.” (Odessa Record: 8-18-1994)
