Notes for Arthor Gottlieb Delzer
Arthur G. Delzer, 78, died January 23 in Lebanon, Ore. Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 26, at Huston Funeral Home. Burial followed at Billiland Cemetery in Sweet Home, Ore. He was born April 5, 1906, in Harvey and grew up on his parents’ farm. In 1937 he spent a year in Ketchikan and Juneau, Alaska, and worked for the Bureau of Public Roads until 1938 when he returned to Harvey, where he married Hattie Bauder that same year. He began working for Otter Tail Power Company in Harvey in 1941. In 1954 he transferred to Fergus Falls, Minn., where he worked until retiring in 1969. He then moved to Lebanon and has lived there since. Survivors include his wife, Hattie; one step-son, Harold Bauder of Renton, Wash.; one brother, Gust Delzer of Anamoose; and one sister, Elizabeth Bittis, also of Anamoose.
