Notes for Bernhardt Grochow
The funeral for Ben Grochow, 82, Martin, ND, will be at 2 Saturday in St. Martin’s Lutheran Church, Anamoose, ND. He died Wednesday. Mr. Grochow was born Jan. 15, 1901, at Buffalo Lake, MN. In 1906, he moved with his parents to the Anamoose and Martin areas, where he was raised. He married Melinda Liebe Nov 16, 1924, at Anamoose and they farmed near Martin until 1958. They moved to Martin where he was a custodian at Martin Public School before retiring in 1966. She died Jan. 15. He is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Audrey) Dusek, Martin; Mrs. Edward (Angelou) Keller, Ceder Rapids, IA; and Mrs. Edward (Grace) Weigel, Anamoose; a brother and 3 sisters, Emma Delzer and Otto, both of Anamoose; Alma Wiedmeier, Harvey, ND, and Hattie Delzer, Lebanon, OR; 17 grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren.
