Mrs. Christina Delzer
Christina Delzer, 74, died at her home in Leavenworth Friday afternoon after a two day illness.
Mrs. Delzer was born June 26, 1871 in Odessa, Russia. She came to this country with her parents when she was two years old, locating first at Minno, S.D., where she married Henry Delzer in 1891. Later they came west locating at Odessa, Washington, where they lived for a time, then lived in Libby, Montana for eight years and moved to Leavenworth 25 years ago, where they have resided since.
She is survived by her husband of Leavenworth; six daughters, Mrs. Martha Hille of Eagle Creek, Oregon, Mrs Joe Scheffield of Libby, Montana, Mrs. Margaret Crystal of Wenatchee, Mrs. Emma Staley of Leavenworth, Mrs. Edna Bronk of Seattle, Mrs. Leona Boyd of Port Angeles; seven sons, Emil, John, Bill, and Reinhold Delzer, all of Leavenworth, Dick Delzer of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Gus and Kermit Delzer of Eugene, Ore.; 17 grandchildren. Hennessy Mortuary will announce funeral arrangements.
DELZER SERVICES
Funeral services for Christina Delzer, who died at her home in Leavenworth Friday afternoon, will be held at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon at the Hennessy Chapel in Leavenworth with the Rev. George Alcorn of the Assembly of God Church officiating. Interment will be held in the Leavenworth Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Emil David, Bill Coontz, Sam Knowlton, Wade Detillian, Roy Canady, Olin Brisky. Mrs. Delzer is survived by six daughters and seven sons, all of whom will be here for the services. She had been a resident of Leavenworth for over 25 years. Also surviving are her husband, 17 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
