LEAVENWORTH--Bill Delzer, 81, a 54-year resident of Leavenworth, died Thursday evening at his home.
Mr. Delzer was born Sept. 18, 1897, at Freeman, S.D. When he was 10, the family moved to Odessa, and in 1919, to Libby, Mont. In 1924, he returned to Odessa to farm, and in 1925, moved to Leavenworth.
Mr. Delzer had been employed by the Great Northern Lumber Co. until its closure. Later he owned and operated a fruit orchard until his retirement in 1957.
Surviving are three brothers, Dick of Marysville, Calif., Kermit of Leavenworth, and Gus of Libby, Mont.; and three sisters, Mrs. Marvin (Leona) Boyd of Snohomish, Helen Sheffield of Libby, Mont., and Emma Staley of Grand Coulee.
Ward’s Funeral Chapel, Leavenworth is in charge of arrangements.
