Notes for Otto Grochow
Otto Grochow, 83, Anamoose, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 1998, in Heart of America Nursing Home, Rugby, ND. Mr. Grochow was born Jan. 24, 1915, near Anamoose, where he attended school. He farmed with his family. On Jan. 16, 1941, he married Eleanor Kuhn in Anamoose, where they farmed. From 1952 to 1978, he also worked for Burlington Northern Railroad. In 1961 he retired to Anamoose, where he worked for Heringer Lumber Co. He was also a custodian for St. Martin Lutheran Church, Anamoose, for several years. She died in 1990. He entered the nursing home in January.
He is survived by 2 sons, Arthur (Linda), Wahpeton, ND; Scott (Kerry), Rugby; 2 daughters, Irene Helm, Wenatchee, WA; Anna (Dale) Gerhing, Minot, ND; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday from 2 to 8 in Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND.
Funeral: Tuesday at 10:30 in St. Martin Lutheran Church, Anamoose.
Burial: St. Martin Lutheran Cemetery, Anamooose.563
