Birth: May 3, 1713, Ireland Death: Jul. 20, 1759Middle SpringCumberland CountyPennsylvania, USA Born in Mullaghbrack Parish,County of Armagh,Ireland, John came to America with his parents, Michael Finley and Ann O'Neill,in 1734.They landed in Philadelphia and moved to Chester Co., Pennsylvania. From there, before 1744, he located to Lurgan Twp., Cumberland Co.,PA. He became an Elder in the Middle Spring Presbyterian Church in 1744 and was appointed Justice of the Peace for Cumberland Co. on March 10,1749. He was later killed by Indians in Joseph Steenson's field (near Shippensburg) on July 20,1759.He married Martha Berkley,in Bucks Co.PA.,in 1734.
