"Grant of King Robert II, to Andrew Finlay, of certain fees for exercising the office of Sheriffdom, Perth, amercements granted to Andrew and his heirs to be held as their fees, hereditary forever, confirmed at Kyndrocht, July 9, 1379." Andrew Finlay had married Marjorie McDonald, niece and co-heir of John McDonald, of Perth.
