Myra Hansen
Myra M. Hansen, 81 of 935 Princeton, long-time resident of Wenatchee and the Waterville area, died suddenly Saturday at Spokane.
Mrs. Hansen was born April 13, 1890, at Waterville, and spent her early life there. She graduated from Eastern Washington State College and returned to teach in the Waterville area. On Nov. 18, 1919, she was married to Lars “Pete” Hansen at Waterville. They purchased a wheat ranch there and continued to operate it until1945, when they retired and moved to Wenatchee.
Mrs. Hansen was a member of the Wenatchee First Presbyterian Church; Waterville Grange No. 835; Douglas County and Pomona Grange; Washington State Association of Wheat Growers; American Legion Auxiliary Leviathan Post No. 12; Waterville Rebekah Lodge No. 77; Auxiliary of Rocky Reach Barracks 1251, of World War I Veterans; Guiding Star Encampment of Entiat No. 57 ladies auxiliary; Wenatchee Canton No. 31 of Patriarch Militant; 40 and 8 club; and the Tempest Rebekah Lodge No. 114 IOOF.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. J.V. (Charlotte) Dixson, Spokane; one sister, Mrs. Anabel Zones, Waterville; four grandchildren and four great granddaughters; and a number of neices and nephews. Her husband died on Aug. 13, 1969.
Arrangements are by the Betts Funeral Home.
MYRA M. HANSEN -- Services wil be conducted at 10 o’clock Thursday morning in the Memorial Chapel of the Betts Funeral Home. The Rev. G Loren Jones will be officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow in the Wenatchee City Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial comtributions to the Wenatchee First Presbyterian Church. Arrangements are by the Betts Funeral Home.1158
